Short Bio of Judy Ann Santos

Judy Anne Lumagui Santos is a Filipino multi-talented, award-winning film and TV actress, endorser, film producer and recording artist. She is better known as Judy Ann Santos or simply Juday.

Judy Ann Santos was born on May 11, 1978 in Manila, Philippines. She was raised by her mother who worked in once as caregiver in Toronto, Canada. She has a brother: Jeffrey Santos and a sister: Jackie. Also, she has half-siblings with her father. Juday was one of the granddaughters of Victoria Dayrit-Santos, a late successful businesswoman and Tatang Miguel Santos. Her grandparents were the owner of now-defunct Victoria Supermarket and Victoria Building in Caloocan City which is still flourishing.

Judy Ann has attended schools like Assumption Convent/ Our Lady of Peace Antipolo and Mount Carmel College in Quezon City. She studied Culinary and received a certification as a professional chef. Kaffe Carabana was owned and managed by her as well as Kaffe Kilimanjaro. She has adopted daughter named Johanna Lois a.k.a. Yohan. Ryan Agoncillo was linked to her in shows in real life. He proposed marriage to her and was confirmed but the date of wedding was not yet set.

Juday’s talents were first discovered on her 8th birthday. She passed the auditions for the film, Kaming Mga Ulila with high feathers. This Regal Films’ project became instead a TV series for GMA. She also appeared with IBC-13 and until she landed with a lasting career with ABS-CBN. Since then, Juday became in demand child actress during her time. She is also popular on screen during her teenage. Appearing in numerous films, she achieved the Box Office Queen trophy at the age of 21.

Juday is also a recording artist. Her debut self-titled album was released on 1999 and on 2001, her sophomore album entitled Bida Ng Buhay Ko. Both were released under Viva Records and both received certified platinum status. On 2007, Star Records produced and released CD dubbed as Musika Ng Buhay Ko. It accounts Juday’s career in show business. She sang two tracks: Thanks To You and Ikaw Lang. The album also went platinum.

Juday recently appeared in many commercials because of her gorgeous transformation. She was once a skinny little girl which eventually converted into a chubby teenager. As soon as she discovered Kickboxing, she instantly drawn to it and lost pounds. Now, her “sexy-fitness-guru” image paved way for her several health and physical fitness image model. This includes endorsing pharmaceutical brands, herbal supplements and other weight management programs.

Until now, she is still popular in TV and movies scenes. It can be comedy, tragic, horror or drama. Lately, she ventured into film producing. Ploning was the name of her independently produced films where she also played the lead role. The film is the official entry of the Philippines for the Best Foreign Language Film to the 2009 Academy Awards.
