Janelle Jamer was born on November 16, 1983 by Evelyn Jamer who was a single mother. She had a brother Zaldy and two sisters, Anne and Sarah. She found herself into singing when she was three years old. They were once a poor family and Janelle wanted to give her family a better life. She sacrificed even her food which she ate only Champorado as she remembered. She studied her elementary years in KES and SRB Elementary and SIC on High school. She finished her a course in Informatics College. She started working independently at the age of 18 and landed a job in Zirkoh as a regular host and singer. She worked along with Kaye Brosas. Here, she developed her skills in singing and hosting. She even started wearing miniskirt which was strictly prohibited by her grandmother who was a well-known disciplinarian. She was not allowed to wear miniskirt and sleeveless blouses even on her second year of college. At the early age of 18, she found herself self-employed. She lived far away from her family which she considered as the most troubling time of her life. She was seen first as Bea, the best friend of Regine Velasquez in Forever In My Heart of GMA Network. Eventually, she gave hosting a try and auditioned for a new noon-time show of ABS-CBN, Wowowee. She overcame and passed the auditions and became one of the hosts, working with Iya Villania and Kay Alano. This show served her biggest break in show business. She made a trademark with her lovely voice as she sang Dododoo and her perky personality resembling a little like of Rufa Mae Quinto. She was not just recognized locally but her fame reached even to international through TFC viewers. She was even featured in the album of Willie Revillame entitled Dododo, Dadada performing Kakabog-kabog. She was rumoured to be pregnant and having relationship with the main host, Willie Revillame. Her departure to United States increased the doubts and gossips of her rumors.
