All About Maoui David

Maoui David is a Filipino singer, an actress, a host and a personality. She is included in the present rosters of talents in Star Magic. She Singles with three other girls, which served as their lunchpads.

Maoui David boasted her talent in singing since childhood. She like singing but never dreamed of pursuing it as her career in the future. She wanted to become a doctor or if not, a teacher. But destiny has greater plans for the likes of Maoui David.

At the age of nine, her dad who worked as a DJ in a local restaurant in San Diego, California requested her to perform in stage. That performance proved her to be really endowed with the talent. Aside from singing, Maoui possessed the flair in acting and dancing and even did hosting duties.

On 2001, she and her family went back home to the Philippines. On the same year, Randy Santiago, a famous shpwbiz personality, invited them to watch his noontime show, MTB of ABS-CBN. Maoui was fascinated by the show’s wellness and agreed immediately when she was brought by Randy to Talent Center,now known as ”Star Magic”.

Her meeting Mr. Johnny Manahan, Star Magic head, proved to be successful. From the very beginning, Manahan was impressed. The rest remains a history.

Since then, Maoui David appeared in several television programs and shows either as a guest performer or one of the mainstay characters. She was seen dancing and singing in a musical variety shows and did some acting in different soap operas and teleseryes.

Maoui David was part of Full Circle. Full Circle was a segment of Sunday noontime variety show, “ASAP”. Together with other artist, Maoui shared limelight with Michelle Ayalde, Glaiza de Castro and Karel Marquez.

Her biggest break came when was appeared in a fantasy program of ABS-CBN, “Marina”. She was one of the singing mermaids together with Claudine Barreto. Another major role was offered after her stint in Marina. She played as the best friend of Maja Salvador, the lead actress of the program, “Spirits”.

Instead of resting upon her laurels, Mauio is no wonder a busy body. Budgeting her time between studies and her career, she kept herself busy and honed her skills through workshops on Basic Acting, Hosting and Street Dancing. This does not just help honing her skills but also her personality as well. Now, when you can see Maoui David on stage, she appears perky, bubbly, smiling and very friendly.

On year 2004, Star Records called up Maoui David and signed her an exclusive record deal. She released the album entitled Singles. Singles is a female version of highly successful male compilation, Solo and Solo 2. Like its counterpart, Singles served as launched pad for young, gifted artists. If Solo composed of three males, Singles is a compilation album with four female singers being metamorphosed into their respective solo careers. Maoui shared the same limelight with other Filipino artists such as Aliya Parcs, Karel Marquez and Marinel Santos.

The album was released under Star Records. It spawned 18 tracks with a bonus one. Out of 18, Maoui David belted four songs namely: Everytime, Sweet Special Moment, Friend of Mine and One Last Cry.
