She inherited her British descent from her father and her being Pinay from her mother Mary Ann. Bea or Tisay are some of her monickers. Bea’s journey to fame started from dream. Dreaming of entering showbusiness someday, Bea joined several beauty pageants. These introduced her to people who her enter the realm of show business. On 2001, Bea was launched as part of Star Circle’s batch. There, she was named Bea Alonzo which she uses until now. On 2003, Bea made a breakthrough in television when she portrayed the role of a 20-year old Katrina Argos of Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay on ABS-CBN. Bea at that time was still 15, yet she carried it very well. Her chemistry with John Lloyd Cruz was very strong that brought “kilig” to every household. She was recognized not only within the country but also abroad. Bea acts like a veteran though she is yet an apprentice. Media, no wonder quickly noticed her talent. There is no doubt that acting is Bea’s obvious talent. Since then, she had been appearing in different television programs and movies. She’s even tagged as “the country’s box-office queen”. Long wait is over; Bea is now conquering the realm of unknown business. Whether you like it or not, Bea now has embarked an avenue initially unfamiliar to her, a career which she not used to. But with Star Records, this was possible. Bea Alonzo hits the music scene as one of the country’s top recording label, Star Records released her a full-length album. Her distinct voice made her different from other singers. Not only Bea was honoured to have the privilege but also the label for this one-of-a-kind project. The album under Star Records was entitled “Bea Alonzo, The Real Me”. Released on June 2008, it consists of tracks that will surely serenade you to the bones. Songs like I’m Missing You, Crazy About You, Close To You, I Will Always Love You and Kagandahan. Incidentally, Kagandahan is used as official theme song of her latest drama series, Betty La Fea. Bea got accustomed of portraying any personalities that does not the real Bea. In this project, Bea has been given the opportunity to project real her. This is where she poured her heart out and hoped the fans would still support her move-on. With the release of the album, Bea had proven her versatility once more.
