Short Bio for Aubrey Miles
Aubrey Sandel is a Filipino singer, actress, model and TV host. She is more popular as a sexy actress named Aubrey Miles, her screen name. she already released an album for herself.
Aubrey Miles was born on March 16, 1982 in Caloocan, Philippines. Among the four children of Victorino Sandel and Maria Perla Santos, Aubrey was the third. She finished her high school education at La Consolation Academy in Caloocan. As for her college education, she studied at University of Santo Tomas Conservative of Music, majoring in voice lessons and took piano her minor.
Her journey to the world of showbusiness begins when Dondon Monteverde, a talent scout discovered her talent and signed her contract with Regal Films. At 16, she already appeared in GMA sitcoms like Beh Bote Nga and Best Friends of German Moreno.
Aside from doing sitcoms, she joined several beauty contests like Miss Ever Gotesco, Miss Caloocan, Miss Lions Club and Miss Global Philippines where her sister won the first runner-up and Aubrey on the fourth. Though did not won a title, she was included in the runner-up positions that earned her money sufficient enough to support her family and for herself.
Being innovative, Aubrey wants to do something new before aging 20. Dondon Monteverde offered her a movie, Prosti where she played the role of a prostitute. The movie was a successful box-office, making P 29 million. This was her biggest break and still the highest grossing movie throughout her career. She also became one of the endorsers of Bench and other companies.
This successful undertaking paved way for other movie offers which did not enjoy the same level of recognition of Prosti. She starred the movie Xerex where she played the three lead roles. Xerex was a mess knowing that Viva Films released Sex Drive and X2: X-Men United of Century Fox. Adding to the insult was the release of Til There Was You of Star Cinema played between Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual. As a result, Xerex was a dead loss of Regal Films and Aubrey Miles’ movie career since then did not prosper. Another project that injured her acting career was her movie, Sanib. It was disparaged as a imitation of the foreign film, The Exorcist. Because of her performance, she was one of the nominees for 2003 Worst Actress.
Miles’ manager was able to grab a contract with ABS-CBN and there she appeared in several shows and sitcoms of the said network including Masayang Tanghali Bayan. She also appeared in non-sexy roles in movies like A Beautiful Life and Gagamboy where she played the love interest of Vhong Navarro. Other known projects include Super Noypi and Rounin (TV Series).
On 2002, she became a cover girl of FHM Magazine and one of the three FHM Calendar Girls alongside with Maui Taylor and Diana Zubiri for FHM 2003.
Aubrey Miles also possessed a real talent in singing. Though not fully recognized in the industry, she was able to release an album on 2003. The self-titled album contained 10 tracks under the label of Prime Music.
